11 Best Star Wars Video Games

3. Star Wars: Battlefront 1 & 2

There are many strings to Star Wars' bow when it comes to video game adaptations - and whether it be in-depth character-progression, soaring aerial battles or ground-based troop-warfare, Battlefront's 64 player online mode was the total behemoth of a release we needed to tie them all together.

It's a crying shame that the original third instalment in what would've ended up as one hell of a consistent trilogy got canned (and then EA ballsed up their 2015 version alongside) but what's left here is still highly playable to this day.

Up to 64 players on PC (24 on PS2, 32 on Xbox) provided skirmishes that were unmatched in their spectacle, and for Battlefront II in particular, it still has the edge over DICE's instalment thanks to the inclusion of space battles, WAY more heroes and villains to play as, and far more tactical options out in the field. The 2015 instalment may be the best-looking by a mile, but Pandemic's originals will forever be some of the finest multiplayer experiences you can ever have.
