11 Off-Map Video Game Secrets You Won't Believe
3. Badger, Badger, Badger - Portal: Prelude (2008)
Everyone using the internet in the early 2000s will be familiar with the inexplicably funny Weebl video, 'Badgers'. It does exactly what it says on the tin: dancing badgers, and a catchy audio clip of 'Badger badger badger' to go with it.
What more could you want?
It's probably safe to assume, then, that the developers of the unofficial Portal prequel, Portal: Prelude, are of the age to have got just as much of a kick out of Weebl's surreal songs, considering they took the time to plonk the entire Badgers video into their game!
With a noclip cheat (or some extremely clever portal'ing), you can take yourself out of the game's confines, and if you happen to veer towards a small green square in the distance...well, you can probably guess what happens.
Imagine the reaction of the first person to discover this. One minute, they're hurling themselves through ingenious sci-fi gauntlets; the next, their journey out of bounds has turned into a full-on nostalgia trip.
Kudos to the developers for (literally) thinking outside the box!
