Sometimes, the most elaborate video game set pieces are completely inaccessible by conventional means. The effort some developers go to just to hide something in their games is truly staggering. And when that something happens to make reference to one of the greatest sci-movies of all time? Count us in.

In Double Action, the handy noclip tool comes into play once again. If you float down a particular lift shaft and steer yourself over to the side, a huge hidden room gradually becomes visible. You'll immediately spot the words 'DOUBLE ACTION: BOOGALOO' on the floor, but that's not what makes this secret worth your while.

The room is virtually a carbon copy of the lobby that hosts the most spectacular gunfight in the 1999 epic, The Matrix.

Knowing this, aren't you tempted to channel your inner Neo and start running up the walls, dual pistols screaming and long coat billowing out behind you?

Well, you can't, but it's fun to pretend, at least. It must have taken ages to develop this stylish hidden area; it's almost a shame it didn't make it into the main map!
