11 Terrible Video Game Collectibles That Were A Waste Of Time
6. Stardrops - Stardew Valley
Stardew Valley is far from a stressful experience. Even the gentle pressing of a daily clock fails to permeate Stardew's peaceful atmosphere and wonderful enigmatic characters. However, the strain needed to collect Stardrops might send you into a rage.
Stardrops are extremely rare fruits that increase your maximum energy - a valuable reward that lets you do more in the day without eating.
There are only seven in the entire game, which may not sound too bad. In fact, many are pretty easy to collect (straight-out buying some and marrying up for another). Two, however, are obtained by completing the museum's collection and catching every fish in the game.
Many Stardew players will know that the fishing minigame is a torturous experience which becomes especially difficult when dealing with Legendary Fish that only appear in specific places during specific seasons and specific weather. Museum artefacts are worse, as their spawning is randomly generated. Good luck searching for the willpower to find all 95 items after digging up your 55,000th clump of clay.
