11 Video Game Boss Attacks That Were Utter BS

5. Ozma's Meteor - Final Fantasy IX

Nearly every Final Fantasy has a secret superboss that is dramatically harder than the final one. As difficult as these enemies are, you should be able to win if you memorise their strategies and prepare your party accordingly.

However, there is next to nothing you can do to prepare enough when you confront Ozma in Final Fantasy IX. This swirling orb can drain your energy, compel your party to attack each other, or instantly kill you. Ozma can also regenerate all its health whenever it wants, figuratively resetting the entire fight.

What makes Ozma so sneaky is it won't waste time on attacks that it knows your party is immune to. If all your party members are immune to Death and Holy, Ozma will never use these spells and instead, cast Meteor, which can kill everyone in one go. Because of this, equipping status-protection skills tends to backfire since it encourages Ozma to use its most powerful attacks.

Even though strategy plays a big part in this battle, the most important element that decides whether you win or lose is dumb luck.
