11 Video Games That Have Already Been Delayed In 2021

9. The Lord Of The Rings: Gollum

As perhaps the only person in the known universe looking forward to The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, this is the entry that hits particularly hard.

The upcoming Middle-Earth adaptation has been in development for a good few years now, but it wasn't until 2020 that we got our first proper look at the project. The first stills from the action-adventure title showed off the titular creature, who looks like a cuddlier version of Andy Serkis' movie counterpart.

Originally, the tie-in was set to drop this year, but at the end of January the developers at Daedalic Entertainment announced that release date had been revised to 2022 in order to deliver on what they're calling a "faithful" adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's source material.

So little is known about how the game will actually play (outside of the devs hyping up some vague RPG-style systems), but as long as you get to smash fish against some rocks and berate Samwise Gamgee, I'll be happy.
