11 Video Games You'll Buy No Matter What

3. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

Nathan Drake made his debut on the PS3 and games starring the wise-cracking protagonist quickly became some of Sony's most popular titles on the console. Naughty Dog pushed the hardware further than anyone thought was possible and look set to do the same on its successor. The developer unveiled debut gameplay of Uncharted 4 at 2014's Video Game Awards and the results did not disappoint. It looked like Uncharted for sure, but much prettier and on a far larger scale. The linear paths of the previous games are now a thing of the past. Naughty Dog has taken a more open-ended approach to Uncharted 4's design, allowing players to make their own decisions on how to approach a situation. Instead of obediently taking part in a crafted set-piece, players will be able to create their own set-pieces. Want to slide down a rope, punch a guy in the face, catch his gun as it comes flying down and shoot another guy with it? You can. Uncharted 4 is shaping up to be another technically impressive title from Naughty Dog that will undoubtedly be one of Sony's biggest games of 2015. Let's just forget that 'A Thief's End' implies that this may be the last of Nathan Drake's swashbuckling adventures - denial is always the best solution to these kinds of situations.

When I'm not playing games, I'm probably either writing about them somewhere or singing stupid songs inspired by them. Or eating pizza.
