11 Video Games You'll Buy No Matter What

11. Halo 5: Guardians

Halo fans have seen no shortage of content recently, with The Master Chief Collection containing every Chief-centric instalment in the franchise in shiny, remastered HD. It was close to being perfect, but severe matchmaking issues continue to make playing online more hassle than it's worth. Still, it's not all bad news as those that purchased the Collection have automatic access to the multiplayer beta for Halo 5: Guardians that's now available to play. The multiplayer brings in tons of new features to mix up up the established Halo formula including sliding, ground-pounding, ledge grabbing and the familiar 'aim down the sights' gameplay popularised by Call Of Duty. Details are scarce on game's single-player campaign at this point, but it's clear that Halo continues to remain an important part of Microsoft's vision for Xbox. The company is planning on pulling out the big guns in the build-up to the launch of Guardians, with none other than Steven Spielberg himself working on a Halo TV series that is guaranteed to be either great or godawful.

When I'm not playing games, I'm probably either writing about them somewhere or singing stupid songs inspired by them. Or eating pizza.
