Speaking of bigger open-world exploration, perhaps no other roleplaying game is as heavily anticipated as the third game in The Witcher series. With the promise from developers CD Projekt RED to be bigger in scale than the previous two Witcher games combined, along with hundreds of hours of main quests and side quests, Geralt of Rivia is going to be a very busy hunter. However, The Witcher series of games has not had as big a mainstream appeal as other game franchises, and it could be very beneficial to CD Projekt Red to release a prologue level that dictates the overall direction of The Witcher 3. Getting to play as Geralt for a few missions before leading towards a cliffhanger ending that sets up the opening for the main game would give newcomers to the series a chance to see what all the fuss is about, plus promote the previous games so that Geralt's story can be caught up. CD Projekt RED love their fans, and over the years have rewarded their loyalty with free DLC and special bonus features. It wouldn't be surprising at all if they once again treated the fans with a special prologue game to provide a chance to play what could possibly be the number one RPG of the year.
