5. Nintendo Has A Boundary Issue - Zelda & Mario

I'm not sure anyone at Nintendo ever told their writers that reading a lady's diary, without her permission, is kind of a breach of privacy. It seems to be a regular occurrence in Nintendo games and the greatest heroes of their franchises are guilty of the deed.

In Super Mario RPG for SNES the player, as Mario, gets to examine Princess Peach's bedroom. While there they can examine a nook behind the fireplace and find what is referred to as "Toadstool's ???" and in the original Japanese version it's even called "Peach's XXX". If Peach is in your party she'll even scold you violating her privacy.

Likewise our good "hero of time" Link can violate a young lady's privacy by reading a hidden journal which contains a passage suggesting Link has a horny secret admirer. In Breath of the Wild a diary can be read where a lass, who identifies herself as 'Lonely Arrow Girl' writes:

"That new guy in town looks like he really knows who to tune a bow. I hope he comes by and nocks and arrow for me. It's been WAAAY too long."
