12 More Enjoyably Dumb Things Gamers Do We Can't Explain

6. Following The Rules Of The Road

One of the most appealing features of driving games is blitzing around streets at 100mph like you're in Fast and Furious. Hell, jumping into vehicles and tearing down the highway while trying to escape the cops on your tail is literally the reason GTA became such a massive cultural phenomenon.

Why is it, then, that when given the chance, players will go out their way to obey the laws of the road like they're playing Congested Street Simulator 2019?

Of course, no crazy person plays GTA entirely like this, stopping at traffic lights, obeying the speed limit and staying in the correct lane, but you'd be lying if you said you hadn't spent at least five minutes trying to be the best driver you could possibly be now and then.

Even though games are a power trip, there's something so appealing about sticking to the laws of the road and just going for a chill drive.
