Alas, if you DO find yourself having weekly digital kickabouts, the very idea of taking the latest edition of FIFA with you on the go is a godsend. The franchise has recently been fleshed out to include a story mode - presumably to attract a wider audience - though gameplay is as meticulously balanced and accessible as ever.

No Madden in sight at time of writing, but you can bet EA are using their flagship brand as a tester of what the Switch can handle. If FIFA 18 comes together without a hitch, expect the floodgates to open immediately thereafter.
