12 Most Underrated Video Games Of This Console Generation (So Far)

4. Broforce

Titanfall Battleborn This War Of Mine Alien Isolation Broforce
Free Lives Games

Not that many people have heard about Broforce, though you may know it as 'yet another pixel-art platformer chucked in as a PS Plus freebie'. That would be doing it an injustice however, as Broforce is one of the best things you can possibly do that involves four people and four gamepads.

The 2D pixel-art look combined with glorious excesses of blood and explosions is a joy to behold, but really it's the satirical All-American spirit of the game that makes it really shine. You control 'Bro' versions of iconic Hollywood action heroes (Broheart, Brommando, Rambro etc.), each of whom has their unique abilities to decimate battalions of squealing little baddies. Later on, you even get to duke it out in the fires of hell, and take on the xenomorphs from the Alien series.

The randomisation of who you play as (there are over 30 Bros to choose from) prevents the game from ever feeling over-familiar, and the wealth of co-op and competitive multiplayer modes make it endlessly replayable.
