12 Nintendo Switch Exclusives - Ranked From Worst To Best
3. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
It took them over 20 years, but Nintendo finally perfected Mario Kart.
With the only lasting issue being related to balancing (MK8 is the first game to actually let you reliably counter those pesky blue shells), now you have the quintessential Mario Kart experience with the biggest roster yet, a buttery-smooth frame rate and a killer aesthetic that makes everything pop.
Best of all, Nintendo have really worked on establishing a level of difficulty that always provides challenge. Sure, you can play this from dusk til' dawn and get way ahead of the pack - but it's always the game doling out the power-ups, ensuring that you're only a few green or red shells away from being knocked back again.
It's this endless playability that makes every Mario Kart essential, and with the Switch finally having millions of online players to battle against, MK8 provides a solid community of competition the Wii U version couldn't maintain.
