12 Obvious Reasons 2015’s Most Hyped Video Games Will Fail

7. Fallout 4 - RPGs Have Changed

Although Fallout 4 is going to no doubt sell millions upon millions of copies come this November, when you think about how much gaming has changed in the almost seven years since the third entry's release, there€™s no way you can€™t worry about whether Fallout 4 will be able to catch up on everything it's missed. For instance, in the time between entries we€™ve seen the release of The Witcher 3, an RPG that completely changed the way players think about the genre. Although the game had the conventions fans were used to; the loot, the open world and levelling up, The Witcher was more about story, characters, and making an impact on every facet of the world around you. So, while Fallout 4 is no doubt going to release with a huge bang, there€™s worry that it might not do enough to catch up to a genre that€™s changed so much since the third entry€™s release in 2008.
