12 Problems Nobody Wants To Admit About GTA

1. Trevor Philips Was Just Too Much

It’s news to nobody that the Grand Theft Auto series’ protagonists are… well, ‘flawed’ would be one word for it. Even so, they always have redeeming qualities that make us care about them, keep us invested in their plight. Grand Theft Auto V’s Trevor Philips is a bit of a unique case.

There’s no denying that he’s a heck of a character to watch in action. He manages to steal the show in just about every single scene that features him. The trouble is, though, this tends to be for completely the wrong reasons.

Trevor is a terrifying, dangerous man. While he perfectly encapsulates the spirit of Grand Theft Auto in one sense, it’s tough to empathise with him; to root for him.

With Sweeney Todd, viewers almost see where he was going when we just wanted the judge dead, but when he moved on to baking innocent customers into meat pies, he kind of loses that sympathy.

Rockstar took several huge zero-gravity moon steps too far with Trevor.
