It's a dividing factor whether you let the idea of a remastered old title be counted in the year it's re-released as a flag-flier for said year, but with the amount of work Rockstar put into their rework of part five, it deserves a mention somewhere on the site. Almost everything that needs to be said about GTA has been - look over here for a rundown of every new feature - but still, any who've played Rockstar's most impressive feat of coding so far can attest to that feeling of just knowing you're never going to see every square inch on offer. It's a remarkable achievement for a game in today's pick-apart internet age to still feel like it surpasses even those that have thrown entire lifetimes at it uncovering everything, but GTA's heady mix of crime-thriller story missions, polarising characters, physics-based mayhem and a downright gorgeous production value easily make it the most celebrated entry since 2001's GTA III.
