12 Things You Didn't Know About The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time
5. Zelda’s Lullaby Could Fix Broken Signs
Link’s Ocarina had real power behind it, and using it allowed him to summon storms, call Epona at will, turn night into day and even transport him to different temples. He learned a lot of tunes during his quest, but one of the more powerful songs was Zelda’s Lullaby.
Taught to you by Impa of the Sheikah Tribe, it’s a song passed down between each generation of Hyrule’s Royal Family. Within Ocarina, playing it where there’s a Triforce marking triggers certain events, allowing Link to progress.
It served an additional, albeit minor purpose, and if you were careless/destructive enough to destroy signs, playing Zelda’s Lullaby magically restored them. Furthermore, playing it near Gossip Stones summons a fairy, allowing Link to bottle it to revive him if he dies.
