Little Women is one of literature’s most widely read novels, first appearing all the way back in 1868. Written by Louisa May Alcott, it focused on the lives of the four March sisters and has seen countless adaptations, extending its influence into other works.

It’s easy to miss if you’ve never read it, but Ocarina Of Time makes a very clear reference to the four sisters within the Forest Temple, stealing the flames needed to operate the elevator leading to Phantom Ganon.

Appearing as a group of mini-bosses, your progress gets hampered by the Poe Sisters, a group of brightly coloured ghosts called Joelle, Beth, Amy and Meg respectively. Forcing him to travel across the dungeon, Link eventually defeats these ghouls and upon completion, can finally rescue the Sage of Forest, Saria.
