Remember the terribly cringeworthy footage where Xbox man Yusuf Mehdi was shown moving his hands and getting the console to respond exactly? Yeah, it was fake - another product of the "Well, we wanted to show off what it COULD do" train of thought.

In reality, both the original Kinect and revamped Xbox One release didn't work, like, whatsoever. Microsoft eventually realised they couldn't ice-skate uphill and ditched the Kinect for all subsequent revisions of the Xbox One.
