13 Worst Video Game Industry Decisions Made In 2016 (So Far)
1. The CS:GO Lotto Scandal
Unless you've been off the Internet for the last few weeks, you'll no doubt have heard of the CS:GO Lotto scandal, whereby prominent YouTubers Trevor "Tmartn" Martin and Tom "Syndicate" Cassell were revealed to be part-owners of the CS:GO skin betting website they so readily promoted without disclosing their involvement, even pretending to have stumbled upon it and insisting upon its brilliance.
The Internet collectively spat bile at them until Tmartn offered up a patronising non-apology while sauntering around his large home in incredibly tone-deaf fashion, yet sadly just a few weeks later their regular business appeared to return mostly to normal, even if a class action lawsuit is reportedly pending against the two.
Hopefully this will at least result in a few legal precedents being set regarding online disclosure, because it would be insane for these two to get away completely Scot-free.
