6. Quantum Break's Streamed Live-Action Content
Quantum Break was a solid if somewhat underwhelming action game on the whole, and one of the most peculiar decisions surrounding its development was to have the live-action episodes in-between gameplay stream from Remedy's servers rather than be present on the Xbox One disc.
This frequently resulted in lag and buffering issues, especially if you played it within the first few days, leading to a less-than-ideal experience for something supposed to be so cinematic and immersive.
While Xbox One players could at least download the gargantuan 75GB video pack to their hard drive, PC players were left with a stream-only option. But seriously, why the hell couldn't Remedy just place some lower-res versions of the episodes on the Xbox One's 50GB game disc? 2GB per hour of video is a more-than-acceptable bitrate for most users: who the hell needs 75GB for just a few hours of footage? Remedy really should've looked into better video compression tools...
