14 Most Insane Video Game Dream Sequences

13. Far Cry 3

Far Cry 3 Vaas Death
Ubisoft

By now it's a Far Cry cliché that at some point during the game's main story you're going to find yourself somehow drugged, succumbing to a series of ridiculous, trippy levels. As a result, whether it's the drug-induced cave exploration of the third game or the flame-throwing dubstep high of Far Cry 4, the Ubisoft series isn't exactly lacking in great, surreal dream sequences to choose from.

However, perhaps the most memorable - and zaniest - hallucinatory trip came during the third game, as you found yourself fighting a gigantic demon with nothing but a bow and an arrow. Well, the arrows were tipped with explosives, but still: a bow and arrow against a monster twice the size of a house.

The sequence came long before players got their hands on the Blood Dragon DLC too, so for the weird (but not entirely disconnected from reality) Far Cry 3, this odd boss battle felt completely out of place with the rest of the game.
