14 Video Game Franchises That Will Never Die
9. Halo
Microsoft's flagship series Halo will certainly always be around; it's one of the main reasons that millions of people continue to purchase the Xbox, and it's honestly one of the few remaining things Xbox gamers can still gloat about.
It's just a reliable old horse that offers a solid campaign, a well-focused multiplayer and plenty of varied game types. It's a good all-rounder, a backbone for the entire console, something to fall back on when everything else is failing to scratch a very particular itch.
Admittedly, the series peaked way back in 2004 with Halo 2, but regardless, Halo has always offered a standard slightly above the average, everyday shooter. There are better examples of the genre, but for those without access to a PC, Halo will always be around to hold their hand and show them a moderately good time.
