15 Batman Arkham Series Elements That Would Make Future Films Great
12. Batman vs. Assassins
Arkham Origins is undoubtedly the weakest entry in the Arkham series. Though still a highly enjoyable game, the prequel doesn't hold a candle to those that preceded or followed it and is often ignored (and the series referred to as a trilogy) as a result.
At its heart, however, was a highly interesting premise, as a relatively rookie Batman finds that the tables have turned on him when crime lord Roman Sionis (otherwise known as Black Mask, who is a highly underrated villain) puts out a bounty on his head. This results in eight assassins pursuing the Caped Crusader in search of the reward money, along with corrupt members of the Gotham City Police Department.
Though some of the 'assassins' are not traditionally known as such (Bane, Killer Croc and Firefly in particular) and others were c-list fodder at best (The Electrocutioner and Copperhead), others would be an intriguing addition in a film that sees the hunter become the hunted.
Deadshot is particularly prevalent at present, given that Will Smith will be stepping into his shoes for the Suicide Squad adaption, and he could easily become an opponent of the Dark Knight if his cold-hearted tendencies are not downplayed to turn him into the film's hero. Lady Shiva, though not hugely well-known, could stand out given her status as a female villain, something that Batman's rogues gallery is lacking somewhat when you take Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn out of the equation.
Of course, one assassin does stand out above the rest...
