15 Best-Looking Video Games Of The Decade

Naughty Dog hasn't had a very prolific generation, but Uncharted 4 remains a visual powerhouse three years after launch. The studio is at the very top of the pile when it comes to realistic character models, animation and facial mo-cap, and all of that comes together to make for some of the most believable performances of the decade.

It's the subtler moments that make the sequel pop; the single tear running down the face of a betrayed wife or the twitchy rage failing to be concealed before a climactic fight. Naughty Dog has long directed its cutscenes like they were movies, and with this game the creatives finally had the nuanced detail in the faces and body to back up the dynamic camera work and emotive performances.

Even better, from a moment-to-moment gameplay perspective, Uncharted 4 never looks anything other than beautiful. Whether it's the crowded streets of Madagascar or the ruins of a former pirate utopia, the game always vividly brings to life its imaginative settings, never skimping on the small details.

The Last of Us 2 looks set to eclipse it next year, but for now Uncharted 4 is the best looking game Naughty Dog has made.
