15 Best Moments In Assassin's Creed History
5. The Minerva Moment
Assassin’s Creed is a bizarre series, combining time hopping historical shenanigans with weird precursor storylines that resemble the plot to Prometheus a little too much. And while it all works fine and dandy, no one expected for the ending of Assassin’s Creed II to suddenly introduce the gods themselves.
Whilst not technically the gods, the precursor race has always been one of the most interesting points surrounding the actual series. Serving as the connecting factor between the past and present, they are what makes the story work. But up until the end of the game, the precursor race had been hinted at and depicted through the pieces of Eden and no one expected for them to actually come into play.
Offering up a twist and an even more grandiose sense of scale to the Templar/Assassin conflict, Minerva is one of the most interesting and unique points in the game. Completely turning the game on the head, she stands out above a lot of the game and begins what Is one of the most interesting plot lines in the series.
