15 Best Moments In Assassin's Creed History

9. Haytham's Death

Haytham Kenway, the best part about Assassin’s Creed III, and the biggest missed opportunity the series had. While they played more on his side of events during Rogue, he never truly got the limelight he deserved. Whenever he appeared, he stole the show and he continued to do so until his very last moment.

The scene where he dies does so much, so well. It rounds of him and Connor’s storyline as they face each other as equals. It presents a philosophy that downright destroys the idea of the Assassin’s. And it is one of most poignant moments in the game.

The truly sad thing about the scene is that he has a point. One thing Assassin’s Creed III did really well was that it presented both sides of the argument: Templars and Assassins. And it managed to do it brilliantly, with Haytham’s final moment rounding it off.

Emotionally charged, philosophically meaningful and a fitting end for the biggest missed opportunity Assassin’s Creed had.
