15 Best Moments In Assassin's Creed History

8. Maxwell Roth's Death

Maxwell Roth represents everything that is great about Assassin’s Creed and everything that isn’t. He is an excellent villain and one of the most intriguing characters in the entire game. But Ubisoft decided to kill him of after one sequence instead of keeping him as the main villain.

He was easily the standout bad-guy from Syndicate and has a wealth of brilliant moments that make the game great. But none are as great as his death. The entire scene is great as he burns the theatre to the ground bellowing his insane ramblings at the top of his voice.

But when you actually kill him, you get one of the most entertaining death monologues in the series:

He's just a madman out for a laugh, and that’s what makes him so great. Roth was the standout in Syndicate, and his death scene was insane. Not to mention the cheeky kiss he sneaks in before he dies.

The game would have worked so much better with Roth taking centre stage over Starrick. But no… if Ubisoft did that, they might actually make the mistake of creating an interesting game.
