From the initial snowy screen and those eastern flutters that made fans' ears prick up, to the slow-motion bullet-dodge and even the glass shattering into hundreds of little pieces. Nobody does trailers like Hideo Kojima, and though looking back it's almost offensive at how much misdirection was going on with regards to playing as Raiden instead, no one was doing anything even close to what Metal Gear had already perfected. Even the shots at the end of Snake unloading clip after clip into thin air are so dumb you just have to love them, and twinning the return of Liquid Snake with a jokey ending that sees Snake spotted by a roomful of guards was icing on the cake.
