Although the main Forza Motorsport series has always delivered more realistic, hardcore racing experiences, developers at Playground Studios decided to turn this iconic Microsoft franchise into a completely different open world arcade racer with 2012's Forza Horizon - and in doing so managed to create one of the most satisfying racing titles since 2008's Burnout Paradise. But last year's sequel upped the ante even more, as a beautifully detailed and vibrant open world provided the best backdrop for the game's kinetic and intense Horizon Festival. Featuring an even more robust online mode, a dynamic weather system never before seen in the franchise and a wide array of popular features that were carried over from Forza 5, Playground Studios were able to create the first definitive next generation racing game.
