15 Biggest WTF Gaming Moments Of 2015 (So Far)

9. Remaster Overload

Like many players, I'm not at all against the idea of remasters; hell, as a mainly Xbox-centric gamer last generation, if it wasn't for The Last Of Us Remastered and the upcoming Uncharted re-release, I probably wouldn't have ever gotten around to playing some of that generation's most iconic titles. However there's a difference between bundling, say, all the defining Halo games into one box with new upgrades and all the subsequent DLC, and just re-releasing any old tat for a quick buck. While games released at the tail-end of the last generation or decades-old fan-favourites make sense from a remastering standpoint, 'updating' middle of the road releases like the two Prototype games just doesn't really seem to make any sense from a consumer standpoint. Having these games on the market isn't a bad thing per se, it's just weird. With them being readily available for pennies on last generation consoles and also receiving barely anything other than a minor facelift for their re-release, there just doesn't seem to be any real reason why titles like this have seen a remastered edition, while other fan-favourites are constantly ignored.
