15 Biggest WTF Gaming Moments Of 2015 (So Far)

10. Mortal Kombat X Is A Microtransaction Nightmare

The grumbling around Mortal Kombat X's reliance on DLC began way before the game actually released, with the announcement that fan-favourite character Goro was going to be held to pre-order ransom, with the only way to acquire the character being to buy the game before it was released or through certain retailers. However, the extent of the game's nickel-and-diming nature wasn't revealed until the title actually hit shelves, with an update greatly reducing the amount of coins you could acquire while playing the game, promoting the alternative of purchasing in-game currency for real life dollars. Well, at least that was the idea, because you could only shell out for them when the game actually worked, as the PC release was a completely broken mess for almost a week after release. But hey, at least it wasn't as bad as the other WB PC disaster that came out this year (more on that later).
