15 Bizarre 'Game Over' Scenes You Weren't Expecting

10. Saints Row IV - Take The Red Door, See How Long Humanity Lasts

Ever willing to offer the odd choice to the player to alter certain events within the storyline, Volition implemented a faux choice partway through the events of Saints Row IV to end the game early. Confronted by the Shakespearean scenery-chewing extraterrestrial Zinyak, the player is forced to decide between humanity's future or his/her own. Taking the opportunity to spoof a famous (and infamous) scenes from the Matrix, Zinyak offered the player a choice: two doors. Heading through the blue door would continue the war against the aliens to a likely defeat. Walking through the red door would result in the player's death, but would also allow for humanity's release and a chance to rebuild. Well, it turns out the megalomaniac wasn't being entirely truthful. Strolling into the red door leads to the end credits, and then a mission failed screen spelling out the fact that "ZINYAK LIED!" with an option to start the task over.
