9. X: Beyond the Frontier - Trigger Happy Early Retirement
The first title in the highly successful space trading and combat series, X: Beyond The Frontier is fondly regarded by many as a classic. Remembered for its freedom of choice, Farscape style plot of being trapped at the far end of the universe among aliens, mystery behind the Argon and doomsday device finale, it's well deserving of a place in history. Of course, some players might never even reach the stage of meeting an alien species. During the initial tutorial, as players get to grips with the controls they are given the option to randomly fire off a few shots at things. This includes the Terran Mothership looming close by. Loosing a few volleys against it will earn you a warning, then doing it once more will result in the sudden demotion of the protagonist and redeployment. To where?
