3. Final Fantasy VII Remake Episode 1 Actually Comes Out

The Prediction: Square Enix miraculously releases the first episode of their Final Fantasy VII remake in 2018, though probably not until November or December.

Why It Will Happen: The remake was first announced at E3 2015, but considering that gameplay was shown off later that year, it's clear the game has been in development for much longer than that.

Plus, the game being a remake certainly makes it less strenuous than a new Final Fantasy game, and the fact that it's merely the first of three episodes means that it will likely be decidedly smaller than any single main game in the series (regardless of what Square Enix says).

Why It Might Not: It's Square Enix and they take about half a century to release anything, so it wouldn't surprise most if the first episode didn't land until 2019 or hell, even 2020.
