12. Crackdown 3 Is Neither Awful Nor Awesome

The Prediction: Neither the flaming dumpster fire many news reports suggest it is nor the pleasant surprise fans desperately want it to be, Crackdown 3 is a perfectly mediocre sci-fi shooter, scoring a forgettable 65 on Metacritic.

Why It Will Happen: Though the continual delays are frustrating, they at least suggest that Microsoft isn't simply sending Crackdown 3 out to die, and does care about getting the quality right.

While it's hard to be optimistic about the game right now, it's easy enough to believe that it can be whipped into passable shape, ending up with a consensus that "it's not that bad", even if most will surely pass on it regardless.

Why It Might Not: At the same time, would anyone be surprised if the game was legitimately awful, or even ended up cancelled? It ending up a good game is pretty tough to believe at this stage, but it turning out a genuine, towering trainwreck is definitely plausible.
