10. Who Is The Protagonist? - Red Dead Redemption 2

The Question: With Rockstar's typically vague marketing campaign for Red Dead Redemption 2 so far, there's been a lot of debate about who exactly the protagonist will be. Will it continue Jack Marston's story some time later when he's a fully-grown man, will it in fact be a prequel following John once again, or could it focus on an entirely new set of characters?

The Likely Answer: There's so much speculation flying in every direction that this is another difficult-to-answer question, but one of the more persistent and believable rumours is that the game will pull a Grand Theft Auto V and feature two or three protagonists.

To that end, the game may well follow Jack Marston as part of a gang, several of whom will also be playable. The prequel rumour doesn't seem that believable, especially if it stars John Marston, because going backwards places such a needless ceiling on Rockstar's creative potential.
