Gaming's angriest man is set to return in the not too distant future - but not as you know him.

Kratos' war against the Greek Pantheon is over, and in celebration of his victory he's gone and grown a beard, or something like that. Having settled down with a new family after accidentally murdering his old one, Sony says that in God of War 4 (not the official name, mind), Kratos will seek to try and control the rage that got him tangled up in a war against the Gods in previous games.

How long he'll be able to suppress that anger is anyone's guess, but as we're getting a new adventure, one would have to assume that plan doesn't go too well.

Above all else, the series has always prided itself on delivering some of the most outlandish and gorgeous set pieces along with an extremely fine tuned combat system. Let's hope that continues with this long-awaited sequel.
