15 Greatest Resident Evil Moments Ever

9. Wesker's Comeuppance - Resident Evil

Wesker's big reveal that he was a double-agent, who'd orchestrated S.T.A.R.S' demise as test subjects, that isn't what was considered a great moment.

Couldn't have been more obvious until he had a neon arrow over his head with, "I will sell you out" written on it.

No, the big "Holy sh*t!" moment was in Wesker's moment of triumph, his Bond villain speech, that his creation pulls a Frankenstein's monster on him and kills him.

Again, it seems like an inevitable thing to happen, but this is the sort of thing that happens after a boss fight. Instead, the Tyrant straight up impales him, before setting that one pale eye on you.

It was as if to say, "Look at what it can do. Don't get too close" and made the encounter a lot more intense. What also doesn't help is that in the small confines of this boss encounter, you can remind yourself of what'll happen if you go near Wesker's body.

But of course, we should have also expected that nothing ever really stays dead in this series. Well without the help of an explosion anyway.
