15 Most Anticipated Video Games Of 2017 - Ranked
8. South Park: The Fractured But Whole
A little like Crackdown 3, we've not heard a peep about the new South Park in months, yet at one point it was all systems go for a late 2016 release. This time seeing Ubisoft take over from Obsidian to continue development in-house, I have to assume it will eventually be dropping later this year.
Gameplay-wise, Ubi are continuing the turn-based, old-school RPG trappings of the original, alongside that perfect art style that literally looks as though you're playing the show. As The Stick of Truth was nigh-on perfect in terms of balancing and gameplay, it falls to Ubisoft to refine only the tiniest of issues, hopefully fixing the - ahem - 'fart damage problem' (seriously, fart and burn damage combined was way too high!).
There's also the possibility this has actually been cancelled or pushed way to the back of the queue thanks to Ubi focusing on everything from Ghost Recon to Assassin's Creed and Beyond Good & Evil, but fingers crossed that isn't the case.
