Actually given away as a freebie years back when the PS4 was just getting off the ground, Velocity is a super-neat hybrid of side-scroll shooting and top-down ship combat.

Think Metroid/Mega Man meets any vertical shooter and you're there - just add a GREAT art style and some visual flourishes to bring it to life. Main character Kai Tana moves at a steady clip, whether warping through enemies to complete puzzle sections, blasting the hell out of any security turrets or teleporting around obstacles to stay ahead of the screen chasing you.

As a full package there's a lot of heart to just how Velocity looks and feels. Occasionally unfair difficulty spikes by way of pathways you should've taken and missed are forgivable when there's so much heart elsewhere.
