15 Overlooked PS4 & Xbox Games You Need To Stop Ignoring
7. Counterspy
Another one for the genre-bending gang, Counterspy is one part side-scrolling stealth game, one part third-person cover shooter, and one part XCOM-ish threat maintenance.
The latter has you deciding which facilities to infiltrate based on rising tensions between two opposing sides in an impending war, and the former is done at the touch of a button. Counterspy's movement is cartoonish and loveable; your little elongated spy leaping from sneaking animations to behind a wall or outcrop so you can pop headshots or trade fire when spotted.
Melee finishers are also here if you can close distance fast enough, but Counterspy's greatest feat is giving its "2D" landscape a depth not seen since 2009's exemplary Shadow Complex.
