Release Date: Q4 2015 And finally, it's the big one, the game that any self-respecting XBO owner can't wait to get their hands on. Halo 5: Guardians may rustle some feathers given that it appears that Master Chief is not the primary playable character, but instead new addition Agent Locke, though given that much of the plot reportedly revolves around the manhunt to find Chief, he should figure in the plot significantly, and hopefully he'll even end up playable later in the game. Though 343 Industries did a fine job with Halo 4 (their first effort taking over from Bungie), there's no reason why Halo 5 shouldn't be an improvement, what with their presumably greater comfort working with the franchise now and the new next-gen tech to play with. While the single player component of the Halo games are always reliably entertaining, the real attraction is the fantastic multiplayer suites, which are almost unrivaled in their wonderful mayhem. If Halo 5 can live up to what came before it in this department, it's pretty much destined to be an instant classic. Which games can you absolutely not wait to play on the Xbox One?
