15 Upcoming Games To Make An Xbox One Worth Buying
13. Scalebound
Though the latest title from Bayonetta and The Wonderful 101 developers Platinum Games is still in its early stages, a trailer was shown off at E3 that, despite featuring some garish Beats product placement, looks like it could be the start of an exciting new action adventure franchise. The game's central mechanic has the player teaming up with a dragon to take on large beasts, and though information has been relatively scant so far, the game's director Hideki Kamiya has said that, "I can't say a whole lot about how much of the detail or the control of the action you have over the dragon, but you will have a very good sense that this is a living, breathing partner on your side". Hopefully this means that the game at least has a co-op feature so that one player can take control of the human, and the other the huge, bada** dragon. Kamiya also made it clear that Scalebound won't be coming from the Devil May Cry and Bayonetta school of challenging, reflex-based action gameplay, but that they're aiming for something a little broader and more accessible. Hopefully the final product will live up to that impressive trailer and make for a compelling (possibly co-op) experience. Release Date: TBA
