15 Video Games That Every True Gamer Should Have Completed
5. Final Fantasy VII
Do I need to tell you why Final Fantasy VII is on this list? It's a game that people have raved about for years and remains to this day one of the most spectacular Japanese RPGs ever developed. It's also one of the most requested games ever to be remade (though Square Enix soldiers on instead with mediocre Final Fantasy games, trying to relive the glory days and coming up with duds like the Final Fantasy XIII series). I'm honestly kinda glad this game has never been redone. I think it'd be ruined - there's too much riding on it and too much of a passionate fan base for the experience to truly be accepted. Of course, developing a technical demo that showed the start of the game re-rendered for the PS3 didn't help matters for Square Enix, so we'll keep chanting for a new one until they finally listen. A tale of love, crushing loss and saving the world from a slightly effeminate but badass dude with a massive ridiculous sword, Final Fantasy VII's sprawling story, battle system and extremely memorable soundtrack make this an experience that gamers everywhere should delve into. You aren't a true gamer unless you can hum the Gold Saucer theme tune on demand. Just saying.
