15 Video Games You Wrongly Assume Are Terrible
6. Metroid: Other M
The Game: The continuing adventures of the legendary Samus Aran, this time set between the games Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion.
Why You Assume It's Terrible: Fans have been vocally disdainful of the game's unflattering depiction of Samus, transforming her from a strong warrior into a more meek, mild and naive young woman who can actually prove pretty grating and unpleasant on occasion.
Why You're Wrong: To completely write the game off because of this is to ignore the fact that the gameplay and graphics are rock solid: this is a great-looking Wii title and the mechanics are as robust as you'd expect from any "core" entry into the series.
Yes, Samus was a bit of an embarrassment this time, but the game gets a lot more right than most hardcore fans are prepared to admit.
