Though this wasn't officially unveiled at Gamescom in person, Bethesda nevertheless made a crucial announcement during the expo via their Twitter account, saying, "To our fans whove asked: Fallout 4 doesnt end when the main story is over and there is no level cap. You can keep playing and leveling." It's been a major complaint from fans that previous Fallout games force the player to pick and choose what they want to level, with the level cap placing a ceiling on what skills could be attained. This has been completely done away with for Fallout 4, which should encourage players to keep progressing even once the main campaign has been completed. It's a welcome addition and, like any sandbox sequel should do, promotes more freedom than what came before. Roll on November 10.
