9. It's Just A Generic Zombie Shooter - Days Gone

Why It Might Suck: The marketing for PS4 exclusive actioner Days Gone is still struggling to escape the label that it's "The Last of Us...with bikers", and if the seeming familiarity of the game's open-world gameplay isn't enough to raise a few eyebrows, its generic aesthetic just might be.

Though Days Gone prompted plenty of discussion when it was first unveiled at E3 2016, SIE Bend Studio has failed to sustain marketing momentum, and pretty much everything we've seen since looks like, well, every other post-apocalyptic game, movie and TV show from the last decade-or-so. Boring.

Why It Might Not: It's possible that the game's marketing blitz will ramp up in the coming months and really show off the game's stronger and more creative elements.

Plus, at least the zombie-like "Freakers" look a little different from the usual undead horde, what with their intense speed and sheer overwhelming volume.
