18 Reasons 2018's Biggest Video Games Might Suck
2. It Looks "Too Clean" - Shadow Of The Colossus Remake

Why It Might Suck: When the Shadow of the Colossus remake was first announced, the chorus of joy was matched by a wave of skepticism from purists of the original 2005 release, who feel that the cleaner aesthetic of the remake detracts from the mysticism of the original title. Some even feel that it looks like a bland fan remake rather than something officially sanctioned.
Particularly controversial has been the removal of fog, which in 2005 was employed to mask the game's resource constraints, but actually helped enhance the eerie, fantastical mood.
To many fans, removing this from the upcoming remake strips the game of some of its atmosphere, and could result in an overall inferior experience.
Why It Might Not: In terms of pure performance, the remake is certainly going to be an, ahem, colossal improvement over the original game, which was constantly buckling under the constraints of the PS2's hardware.
The aesthetic changes, meanwhile, will probably be more divisive with fans and critics than outright reviled, but won't much affect the actual core gameplay.
